In the both the cases, the domain names were apparently deleted from the registry by mistake, so  Nominet had to delete the domain names from my account and reregister the names again in favour of the original registrant.  This usually happened with a month or two of the domain name being registered.    The amount was refunded to the customer account only after a week or longer.</p>
